How do I log onto the public server?

Why is the server whitelisted?

If the server is EVER whitelisted, it is because it is under maintenance. There is no reason to be alarmed, maintenance can take anywhere from a few days to a few minutes. If its whitelisted for a few days you can be sure there will be a post on the news section of this site saying why, and for how much longer you can expect it to be whitelisted for. The skitscape.com public server will always be a public server, you wont ever have to sign up to be whitelisted on it.

How do I get ranked on the server?

Only donators are considered for ranks. Donating is the first step in showing that you are committed to the server. From there, just be a cool guy. If you ask for a rank it will kill any chance you ever had at getting one immediately.

Can you make the server a cracked server so I can play?

Answer

No, definitely not. The reason I cannot do that is because if the server is set to offline mode (cracked) in the server.properties file it makes it so that anybody can log in with ANY minecraft username. Therefore, if the username "skitscape" is ranked as an admin, and it is, then ANYONE could log in as 'skitscape' and cause a lot of damage to the server.

If you want to play on this public server you'll have to buy minecraft. End of story.
